PROJECTS _ MAKER LIFE
: SOMETIMES SUCCESS, SOMETIMES FAIL. BOTH ARE FANTASTIC.
I am a maker.
I love to make things.
I love to direct complicated processess.
I love to follow those directed complicated processes.
I love to see people being happy because of my projects.
I make things, even if it is really complicated, to see people smile because of me and my work.
ROBOT ARM WITH CYLYNDER_May,2017
This was my first hand-making project. I got the idea from twitter and started making it that day.
It is an robot arm which has three joints; Up&down, turning around, and grabbing. Those joints work by hydraulic way, activating by water pressure through the cylynders. I used syringes to make the pressure difference. To convey the power, many tubes were needed to connect syringes and joints. However, I couldn't find any tubes from the markets nearby. So I should made another solution. The knitting needles were my choice. I bought 4 sets of them and cut those wooden sticks off. I could get 4 rubber tubes in that way. After the preparation, I designed the strucure with styrofoam boards. Then I put those syringes into the structure, connected tubes, injected colored water, and connected with joints.
Throughout the video, you can find out that the robot arm can turn, move up&down, and grab things.
It was not that hard to make, but really fun and interesting:)
I posted it on my facebook account too!

2017 CREATIO _JEJU
As I introduced in SCHOOL LIFE page, I am the leader of the school club name CREATIO. In ratin words, creatio means 'creation'. Creatio was established in 2016 as the group for the students who love to find values around their life and make those into the products. Once we went to jeju island for research, we've done a project name S.V.S(Shoes Vinil Setter).
It was the project based on a problem of sand dropping inside the shoes while walking on the beach.
[Think about the situation after swimming. You should walk through the sandy beach to go home, but your shoes are wet. What is gonna happen? Won't you feel terrible if those sands make your shoes dirty?]
This was the motivation of the project. Yeah, I know it heard somewhat weird a lot. Today(the day I'm writing this passage) is June 3rd, 2018, and about one year passed after this project. During that time, I tried hard to develop myself as engineer, and now I know more about 'making better solutions' than that time.
To feedback the problem of the project, the main problem is that people actually don't need it. Even the producer myself won't use it even if it already exists. These days I evaluate this project as a failure. However, making the machine with my club colleagues was really fun so I would like to introduce you about this S.V.S project a little bit more.
It is following a system which works by a hydraulic way. This time, I planed to use the air pressure to activate the whole system. If a person stand on a scaffolding, an airpump under the scaffolding shrinks and two balloons which connected to the airpump expand. There are moving screws on those ballons; go up when ballons expand, down when shrink and they can open the entrance of a shoes cover made in vinil. Then the user can put his/her foot inside it and shoes cover set on the shoes.
Find it out on the video below!
Even though it was an useless project, I learned a lot about engineering through this project. For me, the process of cutting MDF with table saw and combining each other with driver were really new experience. Actually there were also a small argument between me and my club members during preparing the project, and I learned how to handle that kind of problems too. Like Thomas Edison, I think failure is the mother of success. I could upgrade myself thanks to this project.

GAME MAKING_MOOMOO
One big reason of my choice for going Science Highschool was that I can learn about new technologies and softwares. I though that the school will teach me about all those things, but it wasn't. Besides, I am a really fortunated student that I met JARA in KBSH. Thanks to my prescious partner JARA(click to go to his homepage!), I could get a chance to know about using computers. Since then, I've tried a lot of programs and the GAME MAKER STUDIO was one of those. During the winter vacation, I was struggling with errors, and he helped me to not give up and fiinish the project 'MOOMOO Adventure'. I let the playing video below.
It seemes simple but stages will become harder and harder as you pass them.
You can download the game in the link below:) I hope you Enjoy playing!
